How to Use a Digital Planner in GoodNotes

To use a PDF digital planner in Goodnotes, download the files, extract the ZIP and import the planner PDF as a new document. Test a few navigation links before adding your plans, then write or annotate on the pages you need.

The Creator Supply Co. Digital Planner is an undated 445-page PDF with monthly, weekly and daily sections. It is a PDF document, not a separate app, and it does not include a Goodnotes subscription. Creator Supply Co. is not affiliated with Goodnotes.

1. Save and unpack your download

Keep the order email so you can find the download again. Save the ZIP to a folder you will recognize, then extract it. Open the instructions before importing the planner PDF; the ZIP itself is the package, not the planning page.

Keep an untouched copy of the original PDF. That gives you a clean starting point if you want to begin another planning period later. For download or extraction questions, see How Downloads Work.

2. Import the PDF as a new document

In Goodnotes, open the document library and use New → Import to select the extracted PDF. Open the resulting document and wait for it to finish loading before checking navigation. The exact layout of the app can vary by device and version; Goodnotes maintains its current file-import instructions.

Check your device and app plan before buying any additional software. Import limits and available features belong to the annotation app, not to the planner file.

3. Test the month, week and day links

This planner contains one navigation index, 12 monthly grids, 60 weekly worksheets and 372 daily worksheets. The monthly templates each allow 31 days. Because they are undated templates, you choose which dates to use rather than expecting the planner to calculate the calendar for you.

Start at the index, open a month, follow a week link and return using a Home button. Then try a linked date and a daily previous/next link. A short test now is easier than discovering a navigation issue after filling several pages.

Goodnotes currently documents tapping a PDF link on iOS. On Android, Windows and Web, enter Read Only Mode and select the linked element; in Edit Mode, a press-and-hold can reveal Open Link. See Goodnotes' PDF-link guide for current device instructions.

4. Plan one real week first

Begin with commitments already on your calendar: appointments, a deadline and any fixed work or family responsibilities. Use the monthly page to see those dates together. Move to a weekly page to decide what belongs in the next few days.

On a daily page, write a small number of concrete actions. “Call the dentist” is easier to act on than “sort out life admin.” Leave open space so an unexpected task does not require rebuilding the whole page.

You do not have to fill all 445 pages. The extra pages are available for navigation and reuse; blank pages are not unfinished assignments.

5. Understand what editing means

The planner pages are static and non-fillable. You can handwrite or add annotations in a compatible PDF app, but the underlying page is not a typed form with automatic fields. The planner does not promise calendar syncing, task reminders or automatic date changes.

If a tap makes an ink mark instead of opening a link, check the app's navigation mode. If an imported file looks incomplete, first confirm that the original PDF opens correctly and that the download finished. Save a backup of your annotated work using the options available in your app.

Build a routine you can keep using

At the start of a week, look at the month and choose the next few actions. At the end, move only the tasks that still matter. A reusable planner is most useful when it reflects the way you already work.

See the actual page previews in Planners & Productivity, then choose a layout that fits your preferred amount of detail.
