California standards

Grades 3–4. This download gives practice for these California standards:

  • CA CCSS Math 3.OA.1: Interpret products of whole numbers as equal groups.
  • CA CCSS Math 3.OA.4: Determine the unknown whole number in a multiplication or division equation.
  • CA CCSS Math 3.OA.5: Apply properties of operations (such as commutative) as strategies to multiply.
  • CA CCSS Math 3.OA.7: Fluently multiply and divide within 100; know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.

California uses the Common Core State Standards for math and English language arts (CA CCSS). This is practice material, not a state-adopted curriculum or an assessment. Schools can see all aligned resources on our Schools & Programs page.

How to use it

Start with one table, untimed. Draw equal groups or arrays (3 rows of 7 dots shows 3 × 7 = 21), then use the matching worksheet and check with the answer key. Use the timed tests only when a child is ready, and revisit tricky facts in the next session.

Funding fit: Schools often use Title I/SPSA or LCFF funds for resources like this; your district decides.
